Pros

They gave me this job during hard economic times....that's good. They made the position seem so promising, we have people come in to give massages, 401k w/company match, tuition reimbursement...they made it seem very promising.

Cons

If you need tuition reimbursement, good luck. You wait 6 months before you qualify. Your sup will refer you to HR who will give you a web site that will refer you back to your sup. 2 years later, I still haven't figured it out...but now dont plan on being here long enough to require it. I started with one department and now take on responsiblities for 8 different departments...but no promotion or pay increase. You will advance alright...but its only worth the paper you write it down on. Time off. You get a lot of it to start, but if they decide the company 'wont make it without you' that day then you wont be approved for the time off. You can take a sick day, but be careful...you only get so many of course. Now instead of just the background check and drug test you take when you start, they also want a credit check. Good thing they didnt need a credit check when I started. How do you build credit without a job? But here's the funny part...for whatever reason, they dont do the credit check until your in training for a couple weeks...then they walk you out the door. I'm sure there is plenty of advancement opportunities, with the turn over rate being so high...someone has to fill in. But if they can get you to do something at $11 an hour that you neighbor does for $22 an hour ... they consider it a win. My 5 year plan includes quitting this job within the next 6 months.

Pros

My team as well as other teams I work with have been amazing. I have grown so much in my role at Pitney Bowes. 15+ years with the company has been very rewarding.

Cons

Sometimes it's hard to balance work and personal life but that is more of a me problem. I love what I do and put a lot into it.
