Let me tell you why they do not follow their values:
TRANSPARENCY: They are firing people before the end of probation without warnings or relevant reasons. Some people have been fired for not hitting their quota and others for “ bad attitude”.
OWNERSHIP: At the beginning, taking ownership of your job was seen in a very positive way, such as helping other teams and suggest new ways of approaching the markets. They started to change a lot of sales process form one day to another when the management changed, they hired people without any experience in sales and management positions starting to say what you had to do and how, giving the priority to the process and not to the outcome or their employees, starting to treat us like robot. We had to execute and not ask anything, all the people questioning anything with respect or giving a constructive feedback got fired.
CUSTOMER EMPATHY: With the new sales process we were forced to contact the same list of accounts since it was limited to a certain number, we couldn’t do anymore a personalized nurturing of our prospects since no one had time do it cause we had to go massive and contact the same accounts over and over.
This led us to have unsatisfied prospects, complaining about us and how cheap it was our sales approach.
TEAM-SPIRIT/ FUN: At the beginning working at Personio was a lot of fun, I can say that I’m glad to have met amazing peers and some of them are now my best friends. They were always positive and supportive and they knew how to have fun! All of a sudden the environment changed, the office became like Wolf of Wall Street (with poor commissions).
All the sales were stressed out and calling all day long, it seemed to be working for a call center.
