      Pros

      Got along with a lot of great people and worked on some innovative projects. Decent benefits and PTO. "Unlimited" sick time that doesn't count towards PTO, so that was nice.

      Cons

      Minimal career opportunities in the technical ladder for those without PHDs. Mostly only PHDs in managerial roles. Many B.S and M.S chemists are stuck doing mainly technician work to pump out results, rather than working on why we see results. I wish I could've felt more ownership of my projects, rather than just a data generator.

      low base pay compared to industry peers, frequent corporate restructurings and layoffs, and a siloed culture with poor work-life balance
