Pros

There are no positive aspects to working at Oxbridge Home Learning.

Cons

The management will take all credit for you hard work, even to the point that they will withdraw submissions to awards in your name to reapply using your work in their own names. They will not allow pay increases citing lack of funds, whilst simultaneously purchasing themselves brand new Porsches. If you are sick or on holiday, expect to be HOUNDED with questions and demands for work. This is a really unhealthy place to work.

Oxbridge Home Learning Response

Hi there, Matt here, founder and MD. As you will already know, if you worked here (I say that as we do not have a role called “Curriculum Developer”), salaries are reviewed automatically and regularly. Our policy is to pay a high market rate whilst never reducing pay if the market is paying less. It isn’t a negotiation process; this is automatic and, in my opinion, the fairest way to reward our team without them having to ask for pay increases. Two years is a long time to spend at a ‘terrible’ place. I know that we are incredibly supportive, protective and promoting of our fantastic team. It’s a shame you’ve chosen to vent on here instead of letting us know during your exit process, which may have been helpful feedback to us to improve for future team members. As you know, with my “door’s always open” policy, I would have been happy to take on board this feedback (however much it might sting). As you would know from working at Oxbridge, we are an open, honest, and transparent place to be, and we take our ten core beliefs and culture very seriously. I firmly believe all the other fabulous reviews demonstrate that dedication to looking after our team. Maybe we just weren’t the right fit; no hard feelings. Matt Jones Founder & MD.

Pros

- Commutable location. - Nice members of the team. - Facilities like a tuck shop were provided, which was nice.

Cons

- Pay isn't competitive. - Poor communication from management, little to no feedback given. - Hybrid working was stated in the job spec; however, I wasn't given the option to do so once started. - Numerous layoffs with staff, felt uneasy working for, unsure if you were next.
