What I valued most during my time at Novartis was the period when roles and expertise were distributed across the globe. This global setup was, in my view, one of the company’s greatest assets — fostering innovation, encouraging cross-cultural collaboration, and strengthening organizational resilience.
Cons
On the downside, I found the decision to offshore key competencies to a single country quite limiting. While it may serve short-term efficiency goals, it comes at the expense of diversity, agility, and valuable local expertise.
