Pros
Good money Opportunity for Overtime Good rapport with other Employees Easy to get Benefits Good Discount
Cons
If you're a salesperson, Nordstrom is a good place. Even the Store Manager acknowledged that the support team (stock, webteam) are pretty much overlooked. Salary wise, you're overlooked if you do support and not sales team. Support team starting hourly salary is $10.45....sales is around $12+ hourly, with better discounts, plus commission. Other cons were that no matter how good of a job you do, you don't get praised. Instead, they just tell you it's still not enough, and you need to work harder. They make your go through ridiculous training for a simple job. 3 days worth of orientation. I was made the suggestion to resign by my Human Resources manager because of her concern for my work during a personal domestic problem I was experiencing, even though I was still working at a better rate than my more experienced co-workers. Also...managers were very young and inexperienced and looked down on you as if just because they were managers, they were better than you; when actually, most of them weren't even college graduates.
