Pros
The pay is good. That is all I can really say that ever kept me or most employees. They pay you just enough that you won't leave them because nowhere else is gonna pay you that much. But you have to work HARD for your money. the stress of your sales goals and their new PTR system. I knew people who worked there for 15 years and got fired under new sales goals.
Cons
STRESS. number one problem with Nordstrom is the amount of stress the company put on it's sales people. I sometimes would go home physically ill because I was so stressed out from my job. And to be promoted, they give you this BS about being motivated and showing the management that you WANT it... that isn't true. It is who you know and who you are friends with. If you get on a managers bad side, they can ruin the rest of your career with the company.
