Pros

* Some truly brilliant people on the tech team * Zero toxic personalities; everyone is friendly and helpful * No politics at all * Able to learn new technologies and skills pretty much whenever you want to * Great office space and location * Flexible work from home/remote work policy

Cons

The only downside is the less than stellar benefits package. It's geared towards a very young work force (the sales team trends very young) and centers around unlimited PTO, which is great when you're in your twenties but once you have a family you can't really take advantage of it. Likewise the health insurance is fine when you're young, but it's a lot of money out of pocket to cover spouse/kids. No matching 401k is just crazy to me, and no stock incentives is also a disappointment. It makes sense in the context of what young twenties cares about, but if you have or are starting a family it doesn't compare well with pretty much any other company their size or bigger.

Pros

Decent base pay, somewhat autonomous, great tip potential.

Cons

The company has changed for the worse since COVID. When I came back the mood of the entire store had shifted. Gone were the days of comradery, customer focus, and taking pride in a job well done. In its place there is a new culture of cutthroat sales, a severe decline in customer focus, and worst of all a new focus on profit over customer satisfaction. When I was told that the amount the store charged for a shoe shine was not enough to do the best job I could for a customer I knew things had gone downhill for the company. Not to mention I watch a manager prey on a mentally disabled person in order to secure a sale, when the person could not understand what was being offered. Sad that such a once great company is now just another greed ridden corporation.
