Highly avoid, no value for any graduates (in fact detrimental to your career) - Anonymous employee NMG Group Employee Review

Pros

Pay is average for graduates, better than some programs but lot less than all true strategy consulting firms (that's it)

Cons

Shocking program - no development opportunities, international placements, project rotations are often non-existent; no structure / planning, penny pinching wherever they can, and genuine lack of care for your career. Despite a long and arduous program, graduates can find themselves developing next to no useful skills or knowledge that they can bring to their next role in consulting (because most of the work is market research). Meritocracy (or lack thereof) - above all else , everything at NMG is based on whether the partners like you; combination of this and constant attrition across all teams / locations means that you are left with dead-weight, bottom of the barrel talent managing promotions and projects Not many companies have great graduate development programs in practice, but NMG does it so poorly that it must be called out

Thank you for your feedback. We’re surprised to hear of the negative experience you’ve had whilst on the NMG Graduate Program. Our two-year rotational program is designed to give you a broad range of exposure across the business and to provide you with the necessary toolkit to develop your Consulting career. Our Graduate Program includes regular check-in points so we do wish these concerns were raised during your time with us, so that we could address them head on. We’d really appreciate the opportunity to have a further discussion with you. If this is of interest, please do reach out to a member of the Human Capital team.
