Pros
- The product is above and beyond any of the competition and will continue to grow and out perform. - The engineering and product teams are magic and clearly well managed and innovative. - Growth is happening quickly and the company will continue that way with no competitors that come even close.
Cons
- Although a lot of women work at MI, more women in upper management would be nice. There were instances where the work done by a woman was undervalued and assumptions were made that good work was done by a male equal. - A very sales driven and 'bro-y' culture. A gong is hit in the office every time a deal is closed. - A lot of perks and culture initiatives that are meant to be a value add but end up feeling forced and that more important initiatives may be lacking. It would be nice to have a 401k instead of iced coffee and beer on tap. A lot of happy hours and days out felt mandatory. - Work life balance isn't great. It's not a 9-6 job. - When you read about or talk to MI team members, they will say the best thing is the awesome people they work with. It's true! There are really great and smart people at MI; however, there also seems to be a lot of gossip, cliques and forced smiles. A lot of the culture cons are just opinions and complaints personal preferences. I think the culture would be a better fit for a younger professional who can stay later because of less home/family commitments, who may value free office perks and opportunities for happy hours and socializing after work.
