Pros

- good salaries - flexible working - opportunity to work with big name brands - travel benefits (before the buy out) - snacks! (essential) - autonomy - good name for your CV

Cons

- shambolic leadership - revolving door even after they culled half the staff - NO clarity in decision making - global staff were wildly misled in the run up to the buy-out - culture of secrecy - EGOS at the top in particular - cliquey high-school environment - poor HR dept - inept management - REALLY poor financial management pre-buy out - unhappy teams - lack of direction - no growth prospects - processes which change week to week - lack of clarity in role duties

Pros

Very fair and progressive pay for freelance positions. Good communication and decent workload.

Cons

Frequent trainings that are communicated via a confusing email system. Nervous about job security (but that's all freelancing.)

Pros

1. Work is regular (when the budget allows). 2. They pay on time. 3. Everyone I've worked with has been professional and generally pleasant. 4. Reasonable pay for services rendered.

Cons

1. NET45 for freelancers, so paychecks take a while to get here. This is not Mashable's fault specifically. All of Ziff Davis' properties are like this. 2. When it rains, it pours, but droughts also happen, so the occasional super-dry month.
