I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mashable (London, England) in Mar 2021
Interview
I had 3 interviews, 1 over phone. 2 in person. I remember it being a very friendly and positive experience. Office was great, they brought in another staff member and met them in my last interview. HR was then very responsive and process was smooth
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me about my previous experience in marketing.
I went through several rounds of interviews and an assessment, which I passed. I got to the final interview, which was supposed to be with two employees but only ended up being with one. The other had a family situation come up last minute, which was fine. Upon starting the interview, the woman interviewing me didn’t seem to know what to ask me then said “I’m sorry I’m not prepared to interview you. They literally threw me into this interview last minute.” The interview was supposed to last 45 minutes but only ended up being 10-15 minutes because she wasn’t prepared. I thought that there would be no way they wouldn’t offer me the job after that, but a few weeks later I reached out after not hearing back and was told they already extended an offer to someone else. I expressed my disappointment at their unprofessionalism and told them they wasted my time. If they weren’t prepared to interview me, they should’ve rescheduled. That was completely unfair. Soon after I found out that not only did they not hire me, but they hired someone else from my company, which was a complete slap in the face. This tainted my image of Mashable and I thought I should inform others before they interview with the company.
