Pros

Opportunities all over the world if one is flexible to move. Marriott's product is excellent. I still prefer to stay at Marriott properties when I travel.

Cons

As a sales professional, working in the regional sales office is the equivalent to working at a call center. In my opinion, this is not a sales position. No face to face contact with clients is not built on true relationships and limits the sales manager's abilities. This is challenging.

Not a ton of flexibility in the schedule but with advanced noticed things work out well.

Pros

Free meal, great management team that genuinely cares about the employes.

Cons

Employee parking is a daily struggle with no real solution in sight. Traffic in/off the island is just as bad. Co-workers are hit/miss. Some care and truly want to do their part, others just there for a temporary paycheck. A lot of turnover with new faces weekly.
