Pros

Role and Responsibilities: I joined as a Test Automation Lead and began with automation tasks, which allowed me to ramp up quickly. Project Experience: I worked on a banking project with a prestigious client, which provided stimulating technical challenges and positive feedback. Team and Management: The client-side team was supportive and collaborative. The practice management was also attentive and conducted regular one-on-one discussions to support my growth.

Cons

Work Pressure: Internal management imposed significant pressure, leading to long hours and back-to-back meetings starting as early as 8 AM, impacting work-life balance. Lack of Work-Life Balance: The expectation of 12-14 hour workdays left little room for personal time and well-being. Management Challenges: The offshore manager’s micromanagement and unprofessional behavior, including controlling breaks and making false promises about onsite opportunities, was discouraging. Lack of Team Engagement: There were no team engagement activities, such as team lunches or parties, which made the work environment feel purely transactional and lacking in camaraderie. Career Growth: Despite positive project experiences, there was limited support for career advancement, prompting my decision to leave.

Pros

- Nice and respectful culture - The company trusts its employees, no need for a lot bureaucracy when taking days off or sick leave - If you are good, they are going to do anything in their power to keep you

Cons

- Parent DXC company is very strict and outdated, Luxoft systems are very good, but sometimes we need to use DXC systems that are mostly sharepoint and awfully designed Service Now. - After DXC took control, everything is Windows, you are lucky if you get a Mac system, and they hate Linux. You need to sell your soul and get many management and client approvals and exceptions in IT to be able to use Linux. - If is a huge company that serves many clients, so obviously, you are going to have totally different experiences depending on the client you work for
