Pros

Possibility of severance package when you get laid off.

Cons

Where do I start. 1) Never join this company in a software engineer role if you have more than 5 years of experience. Please join in a Senior Software Engineer role. The benefits and pay difference is just phenomenal. 2) The current model is to have all the technical work done in Bangalore, they don't really need good programmers over here. If you join this company in a Software Engineer role, you are stuck in the middle. You can neither do proper technical work nor be in a leadership role which is nothing but having meetings with offshore and getting things done. 3) Managers are based out in India for US employees! Have you ever heard this anywhere, yes some of our managers are based in India. i do not understand how the manager will know what I do and what I deliver during EST hours. If we dont happen to be in the good books of the manager in India, the possibility of lay offs always threatens. 4) Impossible and demotivating to work with constant org changes and layoffs. 5) Inefficient managers create so many troubles for software engineers. Senior Software Engineers are not expected to code and many don't know to code. They judge those who code based on their personal relationship.

Pros

Remote, great starting pay for entry level remote. Team environment was the best part of the experience.

Cons

Very limited to no advancement opportunities with pay increases that don't even match cost of living increases. No HR support and the culture reflects that... not a company that has any flexibility in the way employees are handled when they make a mistake it stacks and is not removes for a year. If you have three mistakes even if they are in totally different areas they will terminate even tenured employees with otherwise perfect records. Not a way to keep good employees.
