Pros
9/80 schedule means off every other Friday. Decent health insurance (I think, I've never had any other). Decent 401k contributions. Get to work around cool products (F35).
Cons
Slow advancement for engineers. Very metrics driven. The people who move up in the company are the people who are willing to be creative with their personal metrics. 't decreased defects by 50% this year.' . . . . no you actually just covered up 50% of the defects. Giant corporation with the usual politics. I did 2 years in aircraft design which was fun, but it didn't seem like there was much opportunities for career growth there (especially because the airplane is already designed). I've just completed 2 years in Quality. I feel like I'm just tracking problems, not actually doing any technical problem solving.
