    Application

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin.

    Interview

It was similar to all the other interviews I have had. They were pretty basic questions and some were behavioral. They really want to make sure that you are able to work cohesively with a team.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Atlanta, GA (US)) in June 2020.

    Interview

It was a phone interview with a panel of 4 higher level management people that went about 45 minutes (1 hour time slot). 1 hr and 3 different software/aeronautics leads. It felt pretty informal, let me introduce myself and go over a bit of my school experience/resume. Whoever felt like asking for further details did, mostly behavioral and a bit of technical. Described how I'd be put on a project. Let me ask my own questions towards the end. Told me to expect an update in 2-3 weeks about any offers.

Guidance, Navigation, & Control Engineer (GNC) Interview

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Sunnyvale, CA (US)) in June 2020.

    Interview

I was internally referred which made it really smooth. Prepare yourself with the STAR technique. The interview is really relaxed. They are concerned with getting good people to join the company and not necessarily the smartest people. Again, STAR answers are what they are looking for!

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Manassas, VA (US)) in June 2020.

    Interview

Best experience applying for a job and interviewing that I have experienced in my career. The recruitment team was quick to reach out after submitting my application. A list of questions was provided via email that were relevant to the role that allowed me to provide more background in regard to my relevant experience and why I was interested and looking for a new role. The recruitment team was highly responsive throughout the whole process.

Once the hiring team confirmed their interest, they coordinated an initial background check and scheduled an interview. The interview was a panel interview in which the team was the most prepared that I have ever seen. The hiring manager provided a thorough overview of the organization, role, and objectives. The team was warm, welcoming, and was not rushed. It flowed naturally, and I was able to provide an overview of my relevant experience, what interested in me in the role, and why I would be a good fit. The team was prepared with questions to ensure that I would be a good technical and cultural fit and provided me with feedback as to which points resonated the most with the role.

They were clear on next steps, were open on the timing of decision, and were in touch with their decision just as expected. I would recommend Lockheed Martin to any top talent looking for a great place to work.

    Interview Questions

    • Combination of professional, technical, and behavioral questions related to the role.   Answer Question

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Fort Worth, TX (US)) in June 2020.

    Interview

    STAR pattern questions.
Recruiter was really helpful and responsive.

I didn’t have much confidence going in as I had a suspicion that I may just be a number to meet their target set of interviewees (and they may have an internal, preferred candidate chosen). The interview itself was short - hiring manager and HR business partner.

Questions on the Lockheed Full Spectrum values..
To me, they sounded mechanical and rigid.
Also, I felt my responses were probably not that great either.

But, the Hiring Manager was nice to share the details on the clarifications that I had requested.

STAR method type of questions. They also asked for you to walk them down your resume. There is nothing else to add. The website won’t let me proceed until there is 30 words.

    Interview

I was contacted twice by Lockheed recruiters for two separate positions. They each sent me a list of questions to answer, which I put significant time and effort into. After both, I heard not another word from either recruiter, despite several attempts from me asking to close the loop. If I am not selected for a position, that's fine, but it's extremely unprofessional to initiate the interview process and then ghost a candidate. For a company of this size and reputation, I was shocked.

    Interview

I sent in my resume and application online and was contacted by the hiring manager who set up an online interview due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The interview ran for about an hour and was a mostly laid back talk about my resume and experiences.
