Pros

Good pay...in exchange for you happiness and soul.

Cons

None of my training was completed within the specified time due to poor time management. Not notified of fire assembly points or any basic health and safety. Made to work in oven bakery section with zero training and carry very heavy goods with no heavy lifting training...hello potential injury lawsuit. Also worked the floor buffer and cleaned up broken glass woth not even a basic instruction. Also every shift I would leave in terrible pain and I'm only a 19 years old. Only contracted to work ten hours yet regularly being schedules for 30+ hours per week because not enough staff. Forced to work terrible hours woth shifts often lasting an hour later than on the rota. Being expected to do a million tasks at once...like every shift where i would be the only person on till whilst trying to multitask and clean all of the tills in the shop. Expected yo scan an impossible amount of items a minute...and yes they do time you.Coworkers were nasty and breacher confidentiality on a number of occasions...let's just say it is a small work and my manager was mouthing off about me to someone who is a friend of my family...very professional. I could literally give a million reason s to run from this company and not shop there...also one of the boxes of fruit was infested with flies....probably maggots too. And when I told my boss he shrugged his shoulders :) bon appetite :D

Pros

Benefits are excellent, most people at the peer level are great. Clear performance expectations. Decent cross functional communication

Cons

Company leadership very European and doesn't quite understand the American consumer even after being in the US so long. Unreasonable expectations are the norm. No upward mobility unless you are European or speak fluent German.
