Pros

I worked on global projects with my very talented team. The experience also came with lasting memories and meaningful encounters.

Cons

The workload was intense, which is expected in a global role and manageable, even alongside family commitments. It wasn’t the main issue. The difficulty came from the leadership style, which relied on short term tactics, improvised bursts, and shifting internal dynamics rather than any long term direction. Decisions could change based on impressions or internal whispers, creating uncertainty and last minute changes. Good ideas could be slowed down or left aside. Agency choices were sometimes driven more by personal preferences than by capability. Recognition was rare, criticism was frequent, and career progression depended more on internal considerations than on actual expertise. Speaking up for my team could be interpreted as overly union oriented. Decisions tended to reflect what was well received rather than what was actually needed, limiting clarity and transparency.
