Pros
- People: The people at International SOS are what make it such a great place to work. They are really supportive when things aren't going so well and are a great bunch of people to work with. People are genuinely friends with their colleagues and managers and it makes for a really nice atmosphere in the office. - Variety: Every day is so different and there is so much going on...you'll never be bored! -Pride: Everyone has a sense of pride in what we do at International SOS and it's a real motivator knowing you're influencing the lives of other people. -Recognition: The company is getting much better at recognising people within the organisation who are doing a great job. Still room to improve but making great progress.
Cons
- Workload: with variety comes work! Things never stop and you're expected to work until things get done, trying to meet several deadlines at once. The company often fails to replace people who leave which leaves teams struggling and the company isn't willing to counteract this by investing in new systems which could improve productivity. - Inability to Change: You have to jump through hoops to get something approved and at the last minute it gets rejected for financial reasons even though it wasn't even that costly in the first place. The company seems to waste so much money in some ways (e.g. last minute travel) but is unwilling to invest a bit of money in something that will truly benefit the staff or make the company much more efficient.
