Pros
I have struggled in my past roles with consulting companies because their people, customers and what they do seems to be very transient. You'll work with one customer on one business area, have a good experience, and then move to another demanding customer who doesn't trust you and have a poor one. The team of people you work with are not often together and don't really feel like a team. And if the work stops coming in people are on the bench and then laid off.
Idea Science is the opposite to that:
* It's grown steadily and expanded what they do.
* The business is built on trusted partnerships with customers.
* There is a big effort to form a team environment - a fun group of people who want to help each other and enjoy working together.
* The culture is driven from the top down and the bottom up, and everyone contributes to it. Peter and the leadership team have been super supportive.
* If we have gaps between customer work we invest in creating products that solve customer problems and create future opportunities, which is cool.
I didn't really know what I was missing until I found the team here, and I'm planning on staying around.
Cons
If people are not team players, don't have a good work ethic, or don't want to contribute to a team environment then this is not the place for you.
