Pros
Learning possibilities are endless, internal networking was phenomenal, and accessibility to anyone at any level was unlike any other organization I had worked for previously.
Cons
A constant , nervous feeling that there was no ground beneath your feet due to the constant disruptions, transformations, and restructuring. The move from a being a largely telecommuting company back to bricks and mortar is one such painful example where lives were disrupted. I wasn't around for it, but I lived through other disruptions. The move back to offices must have been horrific for many. While at IBM, many were prepping for the eventual day that they that they are told you are being 'resourced' - that's IBMese for you're laid off. How does one stay productive and focused in such an environment?
