Only pros are getting to know the dogs,learning their personality traits and forming relationships with dog parents.
Cons
The owner has NO idea what goes on in her company. Management is a joke. I have seen management forget to give dogs food/medicine. Managers are constantly late,with no consequences. Managers always on their phones and gossiping with other employees. Very immature,drama filled staff. There is no work contract,no rules anywhere. Owner comes in and comes up with random rules out of nowhere. The place is so run down that dogs constantly get injured. No capacity and understaffing issues. Tons of un-spayed and un-neutered dogs that cause fights. Dogs come in with fleas and ticks. Management has dogs that have harmed other dogs and they are still allowed in daycare. I have seen staff members kick and punch dogs. Staff gets injured a lot with no incident reports being filed. Dogs randomly get gaping wounds and no one knows how because of understaffing. When it rains the water goes into the ‘private suites’. Not a safe environment for dogs or people. You can tell how stressed out the dogs get while staying here. All the employees have the mentality of “What’s she (the owner) going to do? Fire me?” Owner can’t find anyone to work for her and the people that do are absolutely miserable and the dogs get to experience that side of everyone.
