Pros

-They will train you in house in Phlebotomy (no certification needed), you get to work multiple jobs (Lab, Front Desk, the Floor, screening, etc.). -Starting pay is shockingly good. -Generally flexible when it comes to helping you with your schedule.

Cons

-Frequently understaffed. -Job can be extremely stressful, you're going to be on your feet 8-10 hours a day running around. -This is Plasma donation, so while the majority of the Donors are fine, expect to deal with a lot of riff-raff, ex-cons, people with behavioral problems, etc. -schedule is all over the place. This did get better during my time there, but it was frequent you wouldn't know your schedule for next week until Wednesday or Thursday. -Shady business practices. We had donors frequently let in who were clearly high, drunk, or mentally ill.

Pros

Good for phlebotomy experience Meet interesting people Learn to keep plates spinning Good health benefits, but not enough to outweigh the health impacts Learn working in a high-stress fast-paced work environment

Cons

Have to unlearn working in a high-stress fast-paced work environment High school drama and toxicity, management is the prom king/queen Cliquey dramatic management team Reneged agreements Playing favorites, rules for thee but not for me Private employee info gets spread, often by those who are relied upon to keep it private No work life balance or boundaries, and it's an admitted and perpetually unaddressed fault Have to be made to feel guilty for wanting to leave production, get a break, or go to the bathroom High turnover "Is everyone else working as hard as I am?",-Everyone, and eventually you
