Pros

The people here are amazing - always positive, genuine, honest, and open. Totally love the vision of helping people find the jobs that fit their life.

Cons

The biggest downside, especially for engineering, is the career growth aspect and the ability to move fast towards technological advancements. There is also a long way to become truly agile especially now that the organization has grown to a decent size. The expectation of people should work extra hours similar to being in a start-up does not really gel well with everything else that is not so start-up like. The other downside has also been the location as the company is growing and it does not help much in hiring local talent.

I appreciate you being so candid about what’s working and what’s not. As we scale, it’s important to retain our agility. The investments we are making in DevOps' Platform as a Service and the continued push to micro-services should allow us to recover some of that agility and I hope you are already starting to see some of the benefits. Regarding career development, I'm proud that many of the engineering leaders grew from within our org rather than hiring from outside, but I know we need to continue to invest to ensure everyone has the opportunity to learn new technologies and meet their career goals. As a leader yourself, I'd love for your participation and support in helping to improve these things. Thanks for the comment!

Pros

The benefits and culture were probably the best I've ever had. Even better than the benefits were the people I worked with. I enjoyed coming into work and doing my job and really stood behind the company tag line of helping people find jobs they love.

Cons

During covid things started getting bad. Like many other companies layoffs came around and how the company handled those were terrible. You show up one day and next thing you know you lose access and cryptic email and then your'e gone. This happened again in 2025. They brought in person whose job it was to basically get people to leave. They didn't care about the content on the site, or any of the efforts in place to promote integrity and transparency and instead just wanted to shove AI down everyone's throat. What's sad is that Glassdoor was once a great company that I was proud to say I worked for. Now it's just like everywhere else, AI, AI, AI and trying to get people to quit before the next round of layoffs.
