Pros
Can potentially be a longer term position if you don't get caught in layoffs
Cons
They hire slightly below market and then provide such sub-par raises and bonuses that within a few years you will be able to double your income on the open market. Management doesn't appreciate employees who do stick around so you won't get promotions and will likely be caught in a layoff since they have several every year. They claim they can't give raises because of an unsteady business outlook but then report the biggest profits/revenue they've ever seen.
