Good people, but senior leadership seems to consistently make poor decisions for retaining talent - Database Administrator Genesys Employee Review

Pros

There is a lot of talent in the workforce, and a genuinely good team to work with. Exciting technologies to work with. Strong bonus structure.

Cons

To put it bluntly, every year I have worked here the benefits have degraded. From small things like office perks (medicine cabinets, kitchen, in office gym) to larger things (on-call pay, health insurance) I have consistently seen these get worse over time. Senior leadership has a tendency to seemingly make decisions around exciting buzz-words, instead of doing strong analysis on the actual benefits. Raise structure is very weak

Genesys Response

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. I agree that our technology is exciting and that we have an environment full of talented people! For the US, in 2018 we improved our benefit plan options and are one of the few tech companies in our segment to offer HMO, PPO and HDHP medical plan options in addition to a substantial HSA contribution from Genesys. Local office perks vary; if there are things you’d like to see in your office, I encourage you to speak with your local facilities or EAC representative. Feel free to reach out to me directly with more detailed questions. Best, John (John Drayer, Senior Director, Compensation & Benefits)
