Pros

Fancy, modern office in a nice neighborhood. Good benefits and decent salary / bonuses. Fun holiday parties.

Cons

Culture is rotten with aggressiveness and insecurity. People spend all day in meetings, screaming and talking loudly to try and seem like the smartest person in the room. No one at this company has any real skills– they try to play that off by claiming that "our minds and intelligence are the only thing we need." In reality, no one is capable of getting anything meaningful done– a room full of generalists can only accomplish so much. People management skills are nonexistent. As much as they preach "work life balance", expect to work the same long, miserable hours that you would at any other business consulting firm. Chances are excellent that you won't get so much as a lunch break on most days. It's a regular occurrence for people to stay at the office and work late into the night. In addition, the job titles are jargon– they don't translate well to other companies and won't help you in landing comparable roles. If I was in charge of a corporation and needed to hire a consulting firm, I would never waste my money hiring Fahrenheit.

Thank you for writing. We regret that we missed the opportunity to collectively make things better while you were here. If you would be willing, we would love to discuss your concerns further. Feel free to (in strict confidence) e-mail our people team at people@fahrenheit-212.com. We take your criticism seriously. While we do have and encourage a robust culture of debate, we do hope to temper the fray by emphasizing a culture of teaching. We sometimes struggle to get the mix right, and it may take longer for everyone involved than we’d like to hit that balance. In those cases, it is even more important for us to hear this feedback real time so that these issues don’t fester and rot. Our view: our management and our innovation craft are much more like gardening than baking. There are no perfect recipes, and its takes everyone’s daily commitment to enable our people, our way of being, and our work to thrive. Thank you again for sharing your perspective on how we may do better. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

I've always found Fahrenheit 212 unique in that it employs extremely intelligent, driven people who are also humble, kind and don't take themselves too seriously. A generalization to be sure, but one that proved true far more often than not in my time there. Senior management roll up their sleeves and set a tone of hard work and high standards from the top. The company is entrepreneurial enough for individuals to develop their own "platform" and launch initiatives to solve operational, cultural or training-related, and have that drive rewarded. The firm's reputation is strong in the market and as a result, lots of interesting challenges from big-name clients come through, and access to the client C-level is not uncommon. Much of the company's work is hailed by clients not just as good, but great. The office is gorgeous, the talent and culture are lovably quirky, and the holiday parties are epic.

Cons

The Capgemini acquisition has added pressure and complexity to many aspects of the company's daily operations and go-to-market efforts, but throughout it all F212 has still maintained its own brand, space and culture (all while still leveraging Capgemini's client base to grow). Promotions can be limited in terms of specific times-of-year and slots available at the partner/VP level. Work hours can be long and unpredictable, but such is consulting - it ebbs and flows.
