No work was ever assigned to me for a month when I started, several weeks of mostly staring at a blank screen.
Cons
Upon being hired, no work was ever assigned to me. The "job" I was hired for was never assigned. No training, no communication, no responses to my questions, no access to important systems, nothing except compliance training. I asked my manager and teammates repeatedly what I should be doing, who I could be shadowing. Over a month of "training" I went from once or twice a day having shadowing training calls, which fell to once or twice a week, and eventually stopped getting any responses from anyone. A bewildering and frustrating waste of time. New hires beware, I would work elsewhere given the choice. I did get a few weeks of paychecks, for whatever that's worth.
