Pros
The physicians are overall very skilled and knowledgeable and easy to work with. A collaborative experience. Very team oriented approach on most units.
Cons
The upper level management is increasing disconnected from the realities of a nurses work load and what it takes to manage and provide quality patient care. The management, particularly Julie Swann, are completely disconnected. The nurses are not valued as they once were. It is definitely not the shared governance approach mandated by being a magnet level hospital. Julie Swan primary role is to send out emails with pictures of rainbows and sunsets and giving a pep talk while her nurses are literally drowning on the floors. I simply could no longer take it. Not the place it used to be to work which is really sad.
