Pros
- ability to do work that helps people around the world; - very nice and knowledgeable people in your local environment (including direct managers)
Cons
- poor salary (with little hope for improvement -- salary increases almost always below inflation); - frequent organizational changes (including layoffs) that don't seem to improve the company performance; - the global management if fixated on return-to-office (even if it means just sitting in front of a screen for most of us, just as we would do at home) claiming (with no evidence) that it makes us "innovative", and completely ignoring diversity impact (e.g., on neurodivergent individuals or parents) -- 4 out of 5 days from the office coming into effect March 2026; - little opportunity for career development (lot of work on maintaining legacy products and regulatory paperwork)
