Pros
Edgewood has some of the best properties in the area. Our residents are fantastic and working for the company honestly feels like a vacation more often than it feels like actual work. I stumbled upon this job after hearing about the company through a friend of mine who had a cousin who worked here. It was the most random chain of events, but I’m glad it led me to Edgewood because I think I finally found a career that works for me, that I love doing, and that pays me well. Not every job you’re going to take as an adult is going to check all three of those boxes (and some won’t even check one). I’m happy to be working for such a solid company that has my back and wants to see me succeed. Even after 4 years I don’t get bored of the work we’re doing here. And in a day and age where people move on to the next best thing after only a few days, that says a lot about the kind of company Edgewood is and the way they run things.
Cons
I mean, I wouldn’t say no to a pay raise. Actually now that I think about it, the salary I was offered right out the gate wasn’t anything exceptional. After working for the past 2 years at my current pay rate I’m not even sure how I survived on such a low wage. Huh… I hadn’t thought about that since I started with the company. Anyway, just make sure you don’t get low-balled during the interview process. Although, I guess even if you do, it’s not the worst thing because they eventually pay you well once you prove yourself and that make that first year all worth it.
