Loved the people and the culture

High turnover but the work was up to par

KIDS was a mission focused organization. Getting feedback from our community partners was the highlight of our day. Operating budget was around $3 million so it was an actively growing organization. Staff felt like a team, and though we were few we made a difference in the lives of many.

A lot of change in leadership. About four different Presidents from the time that I interviewed until the time that I left. The final President I worked with was not a people person, and was one persona with staff, another persona with the board. That President began to change the focus of the organization, and it no longer felt like a nonprofit, but instead a for profit. Why be underpaid and be squeezed the life out of you? It was evident that I had to go.
