Location close to home. No charge for parking lot. A paycheck. Teaches you how not to treat employees. You learn why not to trust management You learn how management screws up and then blames subordinates for their lack of adherence to federal and state laws.
Cons
Subordinate employees get to be the fall guy for the mismanagement of their superiors (right downto breaking the laws). More fulfillment cleaning windows than working for people that will stab you in the back. Gives you a detailed insight into the ineptness of most managers. Shows you how mortgage businesses screw up the economy. Shows you how "touted" IT development companies are pure "Dog and Pony" shows and most of their own IT systems date back to the 1990s. Tells you why the original company dumped Core Logic as it was lead by antique thought processes. Showed the company management was unable to produce a quality IT system in a reasonable timeframe. Demonstrated that company upper management does not know the concept of a profitable operation versus a business operatng to the deficit plus level. They hire more Chiefs than Indians (management heavy with no technical expertise).
