Great pay and benefits Exciting and interesting work Travel opportunities and plenty of professional development funding.

Cons

Leadership only trusts certain individuals, typically men. Leadership operates on an 'in-club' mentality -- if you're in the cool kids club, you'll advance and your contributions will be celebrated, if you are not, you will remain at your level and will not be able to participate in strategic conversations. There are no opportunities for advancement, and no ways to get raises even after many years of service. Leadership cannot relinquish control over projects, even the minutiae, which results in micromangement and a lack of work of folks at lower levels and director-level positions are constantly swamped, bottle-necking decisions. It stems from a lack of trust and respect for the people that they hire. People consistently feel as though their work is not valued or respected. Leadership has a total inability to own their mistakes and take responsibility or accountability for harming people or making poor decisions. Both internal and external strategies shift nearly constantly, making teams and goals unstable and inconsistent for employees, and leaving people in a constant state of change and confusion.
