Pros

Shuttle bus is provided - that's probably the main good thing

Cons

1) Cost cutting everywhere, resulting in incompetent and badly trained staff mainly from HR (made up of shared services team in Mumbai, India and Manila, Philippines - you can imagine the kind of quality you get from these places). 2) Horribly low bonus (it's so low that you have to laugh, yet Citi is shameless enough to continue with this practice for so long - it's measured in weeks, not months). Annual salary increment is less than SG's inflation rate of 5%. 3) Unfair HR practices - HR is never there to conduct open, fair and transparent processes for the benefit of the staff. 4) Management (SVP and beyond - many are incompetent, and just good at being hypocrites) 5) Low morale now given the constant changes and restructuring 6) Too many Indians in Citi and their performance make people feel that they are there by way of referral and not by merit

Pros

Hybrid schedule, supportive managers, opportunities

Cons

Once you’re in, comp basically plateaus. Layoffs are happening across the board, which tends to be the full-time culture of citi. The vibe is very much “run lean” until something actually breaks, and only then consider adding headcount. You have to be intentional about protecting your work-life balance, because the implicit expectation is that you’re always on—24/7, 365—without the support of a properly staffed team.
