This is my first review on Glassdoor, I had to spend some time to get to this point. Believe me, even if one person takes decision NOT to join Citi based on this review, I will be happy and satisfied with time I spent here. I wish glassdoor should have had less than 1 ratings, but that's not available. This is worst ever place I worked for. Forget about IT work culture n work life balance, thats like day dream while working with Citi. This has worst management who lacks almost in every department where you need support from them. Rather, they make sure to create such a environment where employee is totally frustrated, demotivated and works on the given direction without any scope of discussion. How do they manage to do that, very simple. Throw some additional money than market on your face to make sure you doesn't get switch atleast next 3-4 years and then treat you the way they want. Here success mantra is to please your bosses, follow their orders, forget about any discussions or suggestions with them and then transfer all your pressure on your juniors. No person who has self belief and motivation can easily do that, but many are trapped and not ready to leave because they are not "able" to move. In risk dept of Pune, people act like bosses. Here 1 higher hierarchy means you are not even 10% important than your 'BOSS' and then they will screw you up badly. You will end up frustrating your own professional and personal life. Forget about work life balance. Here favoritism absolutely matters, if you can butter your boss this is place for you, if you can't don't even try with this. This organization teaches you lesson of lifetime that money can never be bigger than your own and family happiness. I would suggest that to learn this mantra, you should not take risk of joining 'Risk' technology, which will be biggest risk you ever faced and effect will be such that you will feel like you lost all years from your life for which you worked here, and it takes some efforts to move on from these memories.
