Pros

Pays the most out of the Big 4 banks

Cons

Everything else. The technology is terrible and makes the job significantly harder than it needs to be. Systems always crashing or not working the way its supposed to. This place is still banking in the 90s. Terrible training if you could even call it that, you're essentially thrown to the wolves to figure things out on your own. Have like 20 different internal lines to call for the same issue and they keep jus passing you around. I've worked at most of the major banks and this by far has been the worst.

Pros

Hybrid schedule, supportive managers, opportunities

Cons

Once you’re in, comp basically plateaus. Layoffs are happening across the board, which tends to be the full-time culture of citi. The vibe is very much “run lean” until something actually breaks, and only then consider adding headcount. You have to be intentional about protecting your work-life balance, because the implicit expectation is that you’re always on—24/7, 365—without the support of a properly staffed team.
