Pros
they pay well and depending on the region they are a very well recognized brand to add to you resume. Most people are friendly and helpful specially the middle management. The offices are really nice and the perks are decent comparable with other financial institutions. I would highly recommend this organizaton to start a career in the financial services.
Cons
At higher levels of management people tend to be more selective with the people they talk to, and in most of the cases they are very hierarchical. This creates an environment where you feel that sometimes projects are not getting done because of bureaucratic issues. However, I must say that this is pretty common for larger institutions. But specially challenging for large financial institutions like Citi. Also, another downside is the fact from division to division the environment is drastically different. I don’t feel there is a unified sense of corporate culture within the organization. The result is that there are very different people across divisions with little commonalities on corporate culture level, making it challenging to deal with those people on a daily basis.
