Pros
Freedom to manage your work load and schedule, livable wage, management tends to stay out of your hair as long as your meeting your goals. $50 a month reimbursement for cell phone. Benefits are decent.
Cons
Company will cut your pay without thinking twice, then hits record record profits... Pay goes down over time because they move the goal post further and further every year, making it harder for you to reach goals and hit bonus--meanwhile increasing profits. They can decide to change your route at any time to a lower volume route; this could impact your pay 10-15k a year, so don't buy a house or anything, you may not be able to afford it when Cintas decides they want to split routes to make more money. PTO plan was enhanced this year; however, it's still well below the average for a fortune 100 company. Furthermore ,they don't even let you use the time, rollover is limited to 5 days, and god forbid you get sick or need medical treatment, you are treated like a dirt bag. I was actually directed not to seek medical treatment for a condition, because I wouldn't be able to work post surgery with a cast on. Management is typically grown from their Management Trainee program right out of college. So they have no real world leadership experience or common sense, thus can be brain washed by the "Corporate Culture" and are taught to master the art of peeing on people and telling them its raining. There is literally no HR presence. When I started I was never told what benefits I was or was not entitled, and managers either don't know, or they can't be bothered. Come to find out, it takes 2 years to receive any matching contributions or profit sharing in your 401K. Something had I known, or had been clearly documented some where, I would've never taken the job. Lastly, if you leave the company they will not cash out your PTO time, so burn it. Moreover, even though I clearly resigned with a 2 week notice and worked the entire 2 weeks, I was marked as "Terminated". This is laughable, reminds me of a Middle School breakup-- "I'm breaking up with you, no I'm breaking up with you first!".
