Pros
Four day work week. Being out on your own without someone breathing down your throat. Four day work week!
Cons
-Unstable pay. -Pay plans that are always changed & restructured for the companies gain, not yours. -Health care costs go up every year with benefits that fall. -Trucks ALWAYS break down, very little to no maintenance done on any of them. -Poor management. This seems to be the trend from the corporate level down, take a look on this site, you will definitely see a pattern. -You will be left on your own to explain why you don't have any product for your customer, don't expect management to help you. Trucks are ALWAYS short product ranging from clothes (yes they loose clothes) mats, rags, towels, mops, etc.....basically what the customer pays for. -Sales people will lie lie lie and you will have to pick up the pieces, it's usually not pretty! Most of the time they will overstock/sell products to get their commission percentage up but the driver almost always takes a hit in pay. This is what Cintas boils down to...... *It is all about the bottom line here. They get as much as they can for as little as possible. (This should be their motto.) *You're just a number. Don't think for a minute you're not! * If you really care about the job & the customer you're going to be miserable. If you are ruthless, have no morals and have extreme patience then give it a shot, it could be for you. Look, the economy is terrible right now & if you need a job, take it. The pay can be good at some times but there are a lot of factors way out of your control to keep it good. Do not expect it to stay the same as it's a commission based salary..........I would strongly recommend to keep your options open & the resumes out there, it is very easy to feel stuck & hopeless after a while.
