Pros
This is honestly one of the best places I’ve ever worked, the company really cares about its employees. Great 401k match, and cool perks. Competitive benefits. Prioritizes hiring veterans in many different capacities in the organization, I work with smart, amazing people every day. People here genuinely love what they do. FUN atmosphere that isn’t super uptight, people definitely have a sense of humor while maintaining a culture of respect and hard work. This is not a place where you will be micromanaged. You have to be self reliant and a self starter, because you are being trusted to do the work and be autonomous. It’s pretty refreshing. This company’s leadership led Black Rifle through the pandemic and managed to achieve considerable growth in 2020 without laying off employees. We truly have leadership that know how to guide the company in the right direction. The marketing department of this company seems like it’s doubled in the number of employees in the last year alone.
Cons
As the company grows, some processes haven’t grown along with it. There’s sometimes been distrust of new ways of doing things that can help streamline things and help efficiency. On the other hand, there have also been a few times where new processes or softwares haven’t been 100% implemented, which has caused confusion amongst employees. Communication at times has caused initiatives to be delayed because of things lost in translation. Sometimes things get changed last minute or communication and direction has ended up being scattered in different places which has caused confusion and delays. With the growth we have, employees are sometimes stuck wearing many hats and burnout can happen during busy times of the year. HR is currently trying to hire and has also recently hired for numerous marketing positions as we grow, so they seem aware of this issue.
