Pros

Free makeup once in a while if you have a particularly big launch, you do meet some nice girls through training day, pay was alright considering i've not moved out yet but if i had moved out there is no way i could survive on those wages, really great company to get your foot in the door in the makeup industry and looks good on cv.

Cons

I was literally over the moon when i got this job as i thought i'd be working for what seemed like a fun, friendly and vibrant brand... this opinion changed after about 2 months of being there when i realised what a fake, money grabbing brand they were. It's one of the most depressing jobs i have had to do not to mention so so so degrading. A lot of the girls are really rude an think they're above you. You're forced to go out and traffic stop and get grilled if you don't get a customer to spend like £150 in one sale. You end up looking desperate and i think traffic stopping cheapens the brand so much. I was never given proper on counter training and got chucked on a counter by myself on my first day. They don't care about their employees or customers one bit, all they care about is money and sales. This job doesn't require any form of qualification nor do you have to be good at applying makeup for it. They don't care about your passion for makeup or creativity at all and expect you to be some fake smiley girl with completely false over the top enthusiasm. You are FORCED to manipulate innocent shoppers into buying way more than they actually want which is really unfair as people can buy what they want and pressuring them is not the way. They are bullies and bully people into doing stuff. If you put your foot down you get pushed out by co-workers. The girls who already worked there before you will most likely try to manipulate you into doing all their dirty work and unwanted task as you're the new girl.

Pros

None really unless you like gratis for a mid tier makeup brand.

Cons

Abusive management and exploitative business practices. And a niche service for brows won’t really help with growing into the esthetics/spa world. They will work you to the bone and have high retail expectations, they expect individuals to sell thousands of dollars worth of product weekly but give minimal bonus and PTO. This business markets themselves as caring and kind but hires male leads that harass female employees. Multiple racial injustices have happened in my time working here too.
