-Employee morale at an all time low.
-Irresponsible company acquisitions followed by multiple layoffs and studio shutdowns. 3 layoffs in one year with a soft layoff (mandatory RTO) coming. Announced a new studio acquisition a week after shutting down another studio, Proving that there was no financial need to uproot the lives of so many.
-No training. Expect any request for training or support to be stalled out for months. Rather than put in the effort to train the developers they already have they would rather buy an entire other studio and gut the team there 6 months later.
-Large pay disparity between devs. With employees being heavily discouraged from discussing pay with others.
-Terrible higher management who do not take accountability for their own mistakes. Rather shifting blame for failed projects on the wider team who were just following management's plans. Management scrapping months of work or even entire projects on vague reasoning despite team protests.
-Anyone who is critical or challenges certain members of higher management in meetings will be flagged as "difficult" and be targeted for layoffs.
- Little transparency between devs and higher management. Everything is fine until it isn't. You can be told the project is on track then it's cancelled a week later. You can see a teammates work be called invaluable in a meeting and find out they were laid off the next day. This makes trusting managers impossible.
- Little room for career progression. Progression is heavily weighed towards years served rather than performance.
