MANAGEMENT is the biggest con for Banner all the way to the top.
During my short at Banner, I was told it could take up to a year to feel comfortable in my role. I accepted that and was eager to learn, but asking questions was clearly discouraged. I was told by my leader to stop asking and "look everything up in the system." As someone who has led successful teams before, this was disheartening. Questions foster growth. Shutting them down reflects poor leadership.
What I saw was a culture where leadership prioritized their own success over their team’s development. There was little to no desire to mentor, support, or empower.
