Pros

The mission on sustainability, ecology and changing consumers' mentalities. The new office is very nice. Some people are kind and good at what they do.

Cons

I am speaking from my own experience here. Back Market was one of the only French company I wanted to work for. I was attracted by their mission and product. At first it seemed to be a highly cooperative and fun environment. I know fast paced as I worked in Start ups and Scale ups before. However, Back Market took messy and hectic to the next level. They sold me impact and autonomy, but in reality, I was being micromanaged by a terrible manager. I felt that decisions makers at BM have a huge ego and do lot listen to what I had to say. I actually could not do my job, I felt completely disempowered. There is absolutely no diversity in BM and no inclusion either. If you do not speak French, you are left out as they all speak French all the time. When you are new, people just ignore you. When I needed arrangements because things were not going well at home, they did not care and worst of all, I felt penalised for it. This whole experience actually affected my mental health. I do not recommend working at Back Market.
