Pros
I worked in the Charlotte office in audit and there's a lot to love about BDO. Management is very supportive and always has their door open for questions or suggestions. Not uncommon to be able have genuine conversation with partners on down to managers. Very family like atmosphere with great people which is why I chose BDO over big 4. Opportunity and potential for advancement is on par if not better than big 4. Lots of visibility. Work life balance is really good for public accounting. Management will go out of their way to let you know how much they appreciate your hard work and will treat you well, especially during busy season.
Cons
Sometimes the hours are long, but keep in mind that's an industry wide thing. Also the hours for busy season are pretty reasonable compared to other firms.
