Pros

You will be getting salary on time.

Cons

If you don’t personally know any of the senior or leadership, it’s better not to join. There aren’t many projects, and the ones that exist are short-term. Once a project ends, if you’re on the bench, you’ll likely be asked to resign. Since the leadership change, several senior leaders have joined through personal connections only. Those people only favor their ex colleagues from their past org HR has no real process - favoritism prevails. The only thing AAVA seems good at is marketing itself on LinkedIn posts.

Pros

No pros at all except WFH

Cons

1) Was sold a full-time opportunity only to find out 6 weeks in that it was an 8-week proof-of-concept contract. They only hired me because of my previous experience with the client. I never would have accepted an 8-week contract and turned down other job opportunities during this time. I was used. 2) They held onto my HSA funds for over a month and could never explain why and only rectified it after numerous emails. 3) They overcharged me on my medical premiums (I never would have signed up for benefits for an 8-week engagement but thinking it was full-time like my paperwork stated, I did) and it took countless emails over 2 months and opening a complaint with the Department of Labor to get my $400+ back. 4) One month after the engagement, I was notified by unemployment that Ascendion said I was fired (which was a lie, the project ended). I had an adjudication interview with unemployment and shared emails with evidence of such. Ascendion never responded which resulted in delaying my unemployment funds for 30 days.
