Pros

There are lots of changes at Amgen which is an exiciting time. There are many process improvements going on aimed at making Amgen leaner and more efficient. This is the first over-haul at making Amgen the front runner to change instead of catching up with other pharma companies. The most successful employees are those invested at adapting to the changes instead of looking at the past. Those that are ready to learn and contribute to out of the box thinking are the most successful and rewarded. Pay is competitive, work-life balance reasonable.

Cons

Large company and small group of leaders are at the forefront, challenging to ensure visibility with management. Bonuses and RSU have declined over years, even for top performers. Copay for medication cost is horrible this year and high considering we are a health company (very disappointing).

Pros

Excellent compensation, benefits, and career development opportunities. Strong investment in innovation, patient-focused mission, and world-class manufacturing capabilities. The New Albany site offers exposure to complex biologics operations, large-scale capital projects, and opportunities to work alongside talented and dedicated professionals committed to delivering medicines to patients.

Cons

The culture and leadership experience became increasingly inconsistent during the last year. Decision-making often lacked transparency, priorities shifted frequently, and employee feedback did not always appear to be valued. The people-centered culture that attracted many long-tenured employees seemed to drift, resulting in reduced trust, lower engagement, and increased organizational uncertainty.
