Pros

- Interesting product - Interesting industry

Cons

- CEO leadership style is more on the micromanaging side. From my experience I saw him cancel more meetings than attend them (all last min) - Therefore his C-staff lacks strategy and agility. And it trickles down on everything - Which means that one doesn’t feel like they work at a startup due to the hierarchy, egos and politics around. It’s almost comical for the size of the company - That also means, every new exec wants to bring in their people to maintain power, not because the team actually needs these people on the team - So now one starts noticing serious gaps in strategy, and no transparency what so ever - Then notices the mass exodus of A-level talent, leaving one stuck w C-level level talent on one’s projects - At ASAPP one is always walking on eggshells unable to be creative in one’s job nor solve for real problems on the team - So you lose your work/life balance for years. You work, sleep, wake up the next day to start working again, no weekends for months at a time, and if you need a break you’ll have to take it from your PTO. Unfortunately it’s all for nothing meaningful you can be proud of in your career later on. You’re just working for a salary and average benefits - And in the end it goes without saying, in these types of environments, one never gets recognition and finds themselves constantly under the bus

Cons
